ITIKAT Chopped Molehiah

Molehiya or Molohiya, which is specially grown in the Middle East, East and North African cuisines, is a medicinal plant variety that is said to be good for many things from anemia to blood pressure, sleep problems and pain. The dried odor of molehiya is similar to that of henna. It is both the name of a type of food made from the plant and a vegetable variety, also known as Egyptian spinach. Molehiya, which is also used in Turkish Cypriot cuisine, is cooked with lamb or chicken meat after being dried and stored for a while in summer. It is a type of dish made with rice and pickles, served on a deep plate.
